At Nuzum Furniture Store, we partner with Artisan Furniture Canada to ship handcrafted furniture directly to customers across Canada. Each piece is carefully made using natural materials and traditional artisan techniques. While we take every precaution to ensure your order arrives in excellent condition, occasional issues may occur during shipping.
This policy explains how we handle returns, damages, and defects, and what to expect if an issue arises with your order.
Returns & Eligibility
Due to the handmade nature of our products and fulfillment through Artisan Furniture Canada:
- Returns are accepted only for:
- Transit damage during delivery
- Manufacturing defects
- We do not accept returns for:
- Change of mind
- Natural variations in wood, texture, finish, or size
- Incorrect measurements or ordering errors by the customer
- Custom or bespoke items that are already in production or have been shipped
Return Request Timeframe
- To be eligible for a return, you must report the issue within 2 business days of delivery.
- Claims submitted after this period cannot be accepted due to our supplier’s policies.
How to Report a Damaged or Defective Item

- Your order number
- Clear photos of the damaged or defective area(s) and the original packaging, including any visible damage to the box
- A brief description of the issue
Once your claim is received, we will coordinate with Artisan Furniture Canada and respond within 2–5 business days.
Resolutions for Approved Claims
If your return is approved, one of the following solutions may be offered:
- Replacement item
- Partial refund or store credit
- Full refund (if the item is irreparably damaged)
- Repair or reimbursement for repair costs (if applicable)
Important: All approved returns must be collected from the original delivery address. Items must be returned in their original packaging and in the same condition as received.
Important Notes
- Unauthorized returns will not be accepted or refunded.
- Refunds (if approved) will be processed to the original payment method within 14 business days.
- All sales are final unless the item is damaged or defective upon delivery.
- Custom and made-to-order items cannot be cancelled or returned unless damaged during shipping.
Handmade Product Variations
All of our furniture is handcrafted by skilled artisans, so each piece is unique. Natural variations are not defects, but part of the charm and authenticity of artisan craftsmanship. Acceptable variations may include:
- Differences in wood grain, color, or texture
- Minor knots or filler marks
- Slight dimensional differences
- Non-exact matching between similar pieces
